Jig saws
( number of products: 4 )Jigsaws for straight, curved and angled cuts
Jigsaws are power tools designed for precise cutting of timber, wood-based boards, panels, plastics and selected soft metals. They are suitable for joinery, installation, finishing and workshop tasks, especially when an opening, curve, irregular shape or component cut to a specific angle is required.
In this category, you will find corded models for longer work at a fixed workstation and cordless jigsaws that provide greater freedom of movement during installation and work away from the workshop. When choosing a model, consider the blade type, speed-adjustment range, maximum cutting thickness, pendulum-action function and the option to set the base at an angle.

What is a jigsaw used for?
A jigsaw allows straight, arched, curved and bevel cuts to be made in materials used for fitted units, furniture, renovation and installation work. With the right blade, it can trim boards, mouldings, worktops, chipboard, panels, PVC, acrylic glass, polycarbonate and thin components made of soft metals. The tool is especially useful when cutting openings for a sink, kitchen tap, ventilation grille or service penetrations.
Corded or cordless jigsaw?
Corded models are suitable where continuous work is important without monitoring the battery charge level. One example of a more powerful solution for wood and metal is the YATO YT-82267 750 W jigsaw, designed, among other tasks, for deeper cutting in wood. For lighter installation work, the YATO YT-82265 jigsaw with a T-shank holder may be considered. If mobility is the priority, cordless jigsaws will be a better choice, such as the YATO YT-82823 18 V body-only version or the YATO YT-82822 with a 2 Ah battery and charger. Corded models can be found in the corded jigsaws section.
Which specifications should you check?
Before purchasing, compare the power or supply voltage, speed range, blade mounting type, blade stroke, maximum cutting thickness in wood, metal and plastics, and the presence of angle adjustment up to 45°. For faster straight cutting, pendulum action, or orbital adjustment, is useful, while curved cuts and thin materials are better handled with less oscillation. It is also worth checking the unit’s weight, handle shape, dust-extraction connection, continuous-operation lock and tool-free blade replacement. For cordless models, compatibility with your existing battery system and battery capacity are important.
Choosing the blade for the material
Cutting quality largely depends on correctly selected accessories. Blades with wider tooth spacing are usually used for wood and wood-based materials, while finer teeth help when cutting metal or plastics. Before purchasing, check whether the jigsaw uses a T-shank or U-shank holder, as the two systems are not always interchangeable. Suitable accessories can be found in the jigsaw blades category, and additional power sources for 18 V tools in the batteries and chargers section.
