Power generators
( number of products: 8 )Power generators for mobile and backup electricity
Power generators provide electricity where a permanent mains connection is unavailable, inconvenient or temporarily out of service. They are useful on construction sites, private plots, in mobile workshops, during maintenance work and in other locations where tools and equipment need an independent source of power.
The category includes open-frame AVR generators, portable inverter models and units with different power ratings and socket configurations. This makes it easier to match the generator to power tools, work lights, pumps, service equipment or selected electronic devices.

What are power generators used for?
A petrol generator converts the mechanical energy produced by its engine into electrical power. It allows tools and equipment to operate away from fixed sockets and extension leads. Typical applications include supplying power tools, site lighting, pumps, cleaning equipment and devices used by maintenance crews, contractors, property owners and mobile service teams.
Where stable output and convenient transport are important, the YATO 2000 W inverter power generator is worth considering. It provides 1900 W rated power, 2000 W maximum power, two 230 V sockets and an ECO operating mode. For general building and maintenance work, suitable options include the YATO 2200 W AVR power generator and the more powerful YATO 2700 W AVR power generator.
Inverter generator or AVR generator?
Inverter generators are a practical choice when portability, economical operation and stable electrical parameters are priorities. They can be used with selected electronic equipment, measuring devices, office hardware and appliances taken on outdoor trips. The requirements of each connected device should always be checked before use.
Open-frame generators with AVR automatically regulate voltage and are commonly chosen for power tools, work lights and equipment used in construction, road maintenance or property care. Their frame supports the machine during transport and outdoor work, while the open design provides straightforward access for routine inspection and servicing.
How do you choose the right generator output?
Start by adding the rated power of all devices that may run at the same time. Motors, pumps, compressors and some power tools can draw considerably more current when starting, so this demand must also be included. The generator’s rated output should cover continuous operation. Maximum output is normally available only for a limited period and should not be treated as continuous power.
Voltage and socket layout are equally important. A 230 V generator is suitable for standard single-phase equipment, whereas a 400 V three-phase generator is needed only for compatible three-phase machinery. Before purchase, check the rating plate, start-up demand and power-supply recommendations for every intended load.
What should you check before buying?
Compare fuel tank capacity, estimated operating time, fuel consumption, weight, overall dimensions and transport features. Depending on the application, useful functions may include overload protection, low-oil protection, ECO mode, a clear control panel and more than one output socket.
A petrol generator must be operated outdoors on a stable surface and away from combustible materials. Exhaust gases are toxic, so the machine must never run inside a house, garage or poorly ventilated enclosure. It must not be connected directly to a building’s electrical installation. A properly designed changeover system and installation by a qualified electrician are required for building backup power.
