Universal meter YT-73085 with TRUE RMS function and automatic range for each measurement allows you to perform basic and advanced electrical measurements. In addition to the speed of its operation, its undoubted advantage is the possibility of using an additional accessory in the form of measuring clamps, such as YT-73090 to perform measurements of high currents.

Example of accuracy determination for AC voltage measurement. Calculation for the measurement result: 235 V
- Measurement accuracy of YT-73085 meter for this range is : ±(1% + 8), resolution 0.1 V
- calculation of measurement error formula: (measurement result x 1%) + 8 x resolution
- calculation: (235 x 1%) + 8 x 0.1 = 2.35 + 0.8 = 3.15 V
Actual result including measurement error for 235 V indication = 235 ± 3.15 V

Built-in functions:
- TRUE RMS - a meter with this function displays the true rms value of AC voltage/voltage. Unlike averaging meters, devices with true rms show the correct value not only for sinusoidal waveforms, but also for sinusoidal waveforms distorted, such as by higher harmonics, or square or triangular waveforms. A must-have function wherever impulse power supplies, motor inverter drives, HVAC systems, etc. appear in a circuit.
- AUTO - automatic adjustment of the measurement range. When measuring unknown values with a meter with manual range adjustment using the knob, make measurements sequentially from the largest range up to the range giving the most accurate result - otherwise you risk damaging the device. On the other hand, in the case of a multimeter with the AUTO function, you only need to make one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. The meter starts by default in AUTO mode
- RANGE - manual change of the measurement range. A useful function when checking many of the same components with a known value, such as a series of resistors. Manual setting of the range will shorten the time of such measurements significantly
- SELECT - change of measurement mode, e.g. change from resistance measurement to diode test or continuity test of a circuit
- RELATIVE - using the function during a measurement will reset the display to zero and take the value shown before the display as the reference level. The next measurement will show the difference between the measured value and the retained reference value
- HZ/Duty - button when the knob is set to frequency measurement will change the setting to fill factor/cycle measurement
- DATA HOLD [H] - retaining on the display the currently measured value
- MAX/MIN - retaining on the display the maximum or minimum value from the current measurement
