ELECTRONIC EARMUFFS WITH INTELLIGENT EAR PROTECTION
Active anti-noise earmuffs YT-74625 with a smart module that amplifies quiet ambient sounds. When wearing the earmuffs with the module activated, we can hear similarly as without it. However, if the ambient sound level exceeds 82dB, then the intelligent hearing protection will react instantly and disconnect the module for the duration of the excessive noise. Operating the ear muffs with the module turned off guarantees a 28dB reduction in noise levels.
The ear muffs can be connected, for example, to some smartphones using the included jack cable. Thanks to the built-in AUX port, it is possible to listen to music in stereo, as well as to pick up the sound of the caller during a phone call (the voice is transmitted through the phone's microphone).
Technical data:
- suppression efficiency: SNR 28 dB
- battery life: 30 hrs
- charging time: 3.5 hours
- lithium-polymer (Li-Po) battery with a capacity of 750mAh allows operation even at low temperatures and features high mechanical durability
- weight: about 350 grams
Working comfort:
- large and wide cushions distribute pressure over a larger area of the head and do not compress the auricles
- flat 35mm wide adjustable headband with elastic support distribute pressure over a larger area of the head making the headband almost imperceptible even after several hours of use
Additional information:
- the silent sound amplification module is switched on and off and the volume level is adjusted using the knob on the right canopy
- when connected to the device via jack cable, the ambient sound amplification module works in parallel, to switch it off use the volume control knob
- .audible low battery alarm
- power saving system will turn off the earbuds after 2 hours of not using any function
- .micro USB charging port with red/green led indicator
- USB charging cable approximately 50cm long
- 3 .5mm AUX port
- 3 .5mm jack cable 110cm long
Examples of application:
The silent ambient sound amplification module will make the instructor's commands heard at the shooting range, while the sound of a gunshot will be muffled by as much as 28 decibels. When working in various production facilities with machines that generate a lot of noise, hooking up the ear muffs to a smartphone via a jack cable will enable telephone communication, and if you move a few meters away from the noise source, free face-to-face communication
How to choose earmuffs for the workplace:
Protective, anti-noise earmuffs provide protection for the operator against harmful noise by reducing the volume level measured in decibels by the value of the SNR parameter. The upper limit for an 8-hour workday has been set at 85 dB. If the average loudness measurements in the workplace exceed this value, then you should get ear muffs with a SNR parameter that will allow you to lower the noise level to 85 dB and less. Assuming that we will work all the time wearing earmuffs with an SNR parameter of 32 while being in a work environment with a noise level of 116 dB, then we will reduce the noise to 84 dB.
If the wearing time of the earmuffs by the operator is longer than several minutes, then it is worth paying more attention to the design elements that improve the comfort of wearing them. Adequately wide sealing pads made of skin-friendly materials should accommodate the user's entire auricle. Soft padding on the headband will relieve pressure at the top of the head. On the other hand, the strength with which the earcups adhere to the head has an impact not only on comfort, but also on the effectiveness of damping, so for continuous operation it is worth choosing earcups with not necessarily the highest available, but properly selected SNR parameter.
