YT-73097
DIGITAL MULTIMETER TRUE RMS
Universal meter YT-73097 with TRUE RMS function of unique design with automatic and manual measuring range. It allows you to perform basic and advanced measurements of electrical quantities. Large multifunction LCD display allows in some measurement modes to display two values at the same time, such as voltage and frequency from a power outlet. The case is retrofitted with a red rubber holster with dedicated places for measuring probes, thanks to which the meter will not easily slip out of hands and minimize the risk of damage during a fall. Modern board design and special software means not only speed, accuracy and repeatability of indications, but also an increased level of safety, as evidenced by obtaining CAT IV certification up to 600V.

Accuracy of measurement
Example of accuracy determination for AC voltage measurement. Calculation for the measurement result: 235V
- The measurement accuracy of the YT-73097 meter for this range is : ±(1.0% + 5), resolution 0.1V
- calculation of measurement error formula: (measurement result x 1.0%) + 5 x resolution
- calculations: (235 x 1.0%) + 5 x 0.1 = 2.35 + 0.5 = 2.85V
Real result including measurement error for indication 235V = 235 ± 2.85V
- Result including measurement error for DC voltage measurement indication: 12V = 12 ± 0.09V
- result including measurement error for AC current measurement indication: 8A = 8 ± 0.15A
Table with resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the instruction manual.
BUILTINED FEATURES
- TRUE RMS - a meter with this function calculates the real rms value of AC voltage and current for both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms. The device first measures the real value of the sine wave at several intervals → then the measurement results are squared → summed → calculated the average → and finally the average result is square-root. The measurement result is the real rms value of AC voltage/voltage even for a distorted sine wave or rectangular waveform
- NCV - non-contact AC voltage detection by inductive method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated wire using the NCV sensor on the front of the device
- LIVE - test for the presence of phase using one of the measurement probes. Allows you to check in which of the holes of the electrical outlet there is a phase. Insert the measuring probe into the hole, if phase is detected the display will show LIVE
- V.F.C. - low-pass filter. The function has its uses, for example, when measuring the output voltage of an electric motor controller that uses frequency and voltage variation to control the speed of the motor (VFD controllers). When the function is activated, the meter filters out high-frequency interference from, for example, a PWM signal and leaves only the low frequency. Thus, the filter allows accurate measurement of the rms value of the voltage/current flowing into the motor
- AUTO - automatic adjustment of the measurement range. When measuring unknown values with a meter with manual range adjustment using the knob, take measurements sequentially from the largest range up to the range giving the most accurate result - otherwise you risk damaging the device. On the other hand, in the case of a multimeter with the AUTO function, you only need to make one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. YT-73097 meter is a unique design, because in addition to the modes with automatic measurement, it offers to make measurements of basic electrical quantities also on ranges set manually with the dial, thus combining the advantages of both solutions. If you know the approximate value of the measurement and set the appropriate range, you will benefit from the speed of indication
- SEL - change of measurement mode, for example, from AC to DC voltage
- SEL - change of measurement mode, for example, from AC to DC voltage from AC to DC voltage measurement
- HOLD - retaining the currently measured value on the display
- LATCH - On the front of the device there is a diode for lighting up the workplace, which is switched on and off with this button
