The vacuum pump is a multi -functional device for diagnostics of systems in cars and technology whose operation is based on pressure or vacuum. It is equipped with accessories enabling the use in almost every engine or system. Measurement range: from -1 to 0 bar. With the help of a pump, diagnostics can be carried out, among others The following systems and systems: computer -like engine control devices: - Barometric pressure sensor (BARO) - PVC system - exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) - thick -layer pressure sensors (maps) Ignition control device: - vacuum ignition overtaking - delay valve: SDV, RCV system Brake: - Classic brakes - ABS brakes - pneumatic brakes - brake lines - brake servo. Other systems: - air conditioning - cruise control - fuel tank and fuel installation - a vacuum closing system for closing doors diagnostics of the exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) EGR system valve is an example of the valve activated by the valve activated by underpressure. In the absence of vacuum, the valve is closed and the exhaust fumes do not get out of the valve. In the event of a vacuum to the valve, it is open, enabling exhaust gas recirculation. Diagnosis of thick -layer pressure sensors (MAPs) • assemble the pump and tank system as if the brake calipers are ventilated, and then connect to the sensor's vacuum connection. • Press the pump lever until the tip shows -0.5 bar. Finish the pumping and observe the clue, it should be stationary. If the tip moves, it means damage to the map sensor. • During operation, the map sensor sends feedback to the control computer. The signal has a frequency between 85 Hz and 160 Hz depending on the level of vacuum. The frequency meter is necessary to measure the frequency, it should be connected according to the sensor and meter instructions. Venting brake calipers. • Make sure that the braking system's expansion tank is filled with a nominal volume fluid. • Renting in the following order: - Brake pump, if it is equipped with a vent valve - brake calipers in order from the closest brake pump to the furthest at the furthest • Connect the short flexible cable to the connection placed on the bottom of the pump tank cover. • Close the pump tank with a cover. • Connect long flexible cables to the cover connections. The end of one of the long snakes should be connected to the pump, and the other to the brake caliper's vent valve. Use an adapter if necessary. • Press the pump lever 10 - 15 times to create a vacuum in the pump tank. • Unscrew the vent valve by 1/4 - 1/2 turn, so that the pump tank is filled with liquid up to a height of about 5 cm. Tighten the vent valve. • Disconnect the pump cable from the vent valve, the caliper vent procedure has been completed. • Before repeating the venting procedure in the next clamp, empty the brake fluid pump tank and supplement the brake fluid level in the brake system, to the nominal level.
