Intended use / application

Vacuum packer is used for vacuum packing of food products in special moleskin bags designed for this purpose. Thanks to such packaging, food retains freshness and nutritional value longer.

Tips for vacuum packaging of food
- The best results can be achieved when vacuum packing fresh food.
- If the quality of food is deteriorating, vacuum packing can delay the process, but will never stop it. Anaerobic bacteria and microorganisms that can operate in a low-oxygen environment still affect food deterioration.
- Cooking, thawing and reheating vacuum-packed food in water preserves the flavor of the food and makes it easier to keep clean.
- When heating vacuum-packed food using a microwave oven, always perforate the bag in several places, allowing hot air to escape.
- Vacuum-packed food can be heated by immersing and heating it in warm water, the temperature of the water must not exceed 75 degrees C.

When packing meat and fish, it is recommended to first place the food in the freezer for 1-2 hours. This will allow the juices naturally present in the food to bind, and also allow the food to retain its shape. If it is not possible to pre-cool the food, it is recommended to place a loosely rolled paper towel between the food and the edge of the bag to be sealed. The towel will absorb the juices that will escape from the food during air extraction.

When packing cheese, it is recommended to pack the remaining cheese after each use. If a large enough bag is used, it can be reused after cutting off the seal first.

Before vacuum packing vegetables, it is recommended to blanch them. Blanching will stop the action of enzymes that can lead to loss of flavor, color and texture. To blanch vegetables, immerse them in boiling water for a few tens of seconds, then take them out and plunge them into cold water. The blanching time depends on the type of vegetable. The finer and more delicate the vegetables, the shorter the blanching time. Blanching can also be done using a microwave or steamer.

Before vacuum-packing liquid foods such as soups, freeze them in a separate container, the shape and size of which should be chosen so that the frozen product fits into the bag. After freezing, the product should be removed from the dish put into a bag, vacuum packed, and then placed back in the freezer. Vacuum-packed food can be reheated by immersing and heating it in warm water, the water temperature must not exceed 75 degrees C.

Method of use

Vacuum packing
- Lift the lid of the device. If the lid is closed with a latch, press both lock buttons at the same time, unlock the lid, and then lift it. There is a safety switch inside the unit that will allow the unit to start only after the lid is properly closed. Do not press it with the lid open, it is forbidden to lock the safety switch.
- Prepare a bag for use in the packaging machine. Use only special bags, designed only for use in vacuum packers. We recommend the LUND moleskin bags with the index number 67888.The bag can be cut to fit the size of the product being packed. Make sure that all edges of the bag except one are always sealed, and the cut edge is even and no wider than the maximum width of the bags listed in the table. When sizing, make sure that at least 5 cm of the bag remains from its edge to the product being packed.
- Lay the bag so that it is above the heating belt and the edge to be sealed is completely inside the lid seal. The chamber of the packer is equipped with stop plates that facilitate proper positioning of the bag. The edge of the bag should touch the stop plate. Align both walls of the bag so that no kinks, folds or wrinkles form.
- Close the lid and make sure the latch has worked. The lid cannot be lifted freely.
- Connect the device to the power supply. The indicator light will come on.
- Press the "Packing" button, this will start the air extraction process, and when it is completed, seal the edge of the bag. This is indicated by the lighting of the indicator light located under the button.
- When the packing process is complete, the device will automatically stop the air extraction process, which will be indicated by the indicator light under the button turning off. You should then disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the lid latches by pressing both latch buttons. Lift the lid and remove the bag with the packed product.

If during the packing process it is necessary to stop, press the "Stop" button.

If during the packing process an undesirable deformation of the packed product is observed or liquids present in the product start to be sucked up by the packer, press the "Sealing" button, this will stop the air suction process and start sealing the edges of the bag.
When packing delicate products, it is recommended to use the "Impulse" button. Pressing it once will only momentarily start the packer and extract a small amount of air. Pressing and holding the button will result in continuous operation, but releasing the pressure will immediately stop air extraction. This allows you to select the degree of air extraction for delicate products.
After the pulse mode suction is complete, seal the bag by pressing the "Sealing" button. The indicator light will come on and go off when sealing is complete. Then unplug the device from the power supply, unlock the lid latches by pressing both latch buttons. Lift the lid and remove the bag with the packaged product.

Sealing bags from a roll
Bags for vacuum packaging may be in the form of a long sleeve wound on a roll, where only two edges of the bags are sealed. In this case, it is necessary to:
- cut the bag of the desired size
- place one edge in the chamber of the packaging machine in the same way as for vacuum packaging
- close the lid and make sure that the latch has worked; the lid cannot be lifted freely
- connect the device to the power supply; the indicator light will illuminate
- press the "Sealing" button, the indicator light will come on, which will go out when sealing is completed
- disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the lid latches by pressing both latch buttons
- lift the lid and remove the bag with the sealed edge


Vacuum packing in containers
The packaging machine has the ability to vacuum pack containers. Connect the container to the external connector with a hose. To prepare the container for vacuum packaging, follow the information provided with the container.
Note that the packing machine does not include a hose and containers, the external port has an inner diameter of 5.5 mm. Make sure that the connector of the hose will fit the connector of the packer.

- Close the lid and make sure the latch has worked. The lid cannot be lifted freely.
- Connect the unit to the power supply. The indicator light will come on.
- Press the "Packing" button, this will start the air extraction process. This is indicated by the lighting of the indicator light located under the button.
- When the packing process is completed, the device will automatically stop the air extraction process, which will be signaled by the indicator light under the button turning off.
- Close the valve of the container, which will not allow air to get into it after disconnection from the packaging machine.
- Disconnect the device from the power supply, unlock the lid latches by pressing both latch buttons.
- Disconnect the hose from the external connector and the container. It is recommended to leave at least 2.5 cm of free space between the lid of the container and the product packed into it. Make sure that the seal between the container and its lid is clean and undamaged. Otherwise, air may enter the container or vacuum packing will not be possible at all.
