YT-73093
CLAMP MULTIMETER TRUE RMS AC/DC 600A
Universal clamp meter YT-73093 with automatic range selection for every measurement allows for basic and advanced measurements of electrical quantities. The meter is equipped with measurement clamps that allow for measurement of both direct and alternating current in a single wire using a built-in HALL sensor. The measurement can be done without disconnecting the circuit or disconnecting it from the power source and allows for measuring much higher current than conventional electrical meters. The measurement probe wires have silicone, flexible, and high-temperature resistant insulation.
Basic measurements:
- measurement of alternating voltage: A.C. 0-600 V, TRUE RMS
- measurement of direct voltage: D.C. 0-600 V
- measurement of alternating current: A.C. 0-600 A, TRUE RMS
- measurement of direct current: D.C. 0-600 A
- measurement of resistance: 0-60 MΩ
- diode test: IF 5 mA, UR 3 V
- continuity test: 0-50 Ω
Additional measurements:
- measurement of capacitor capacity: 0-60 mF
- measurement of frequency: 0-10 Mhz
- temperature measurement: -30 to 1000 °C
- non-contact detection of alternating voltage: NCV
Measurement accuracy:
Example of determining accuracy for the measurement of alternating current AC. Calculations for the measurement result: 30 A
- accuracy of the YT-73093 meter for this range is: ±(2.0%+30), resolution 0.01 A
- error calculation formula: (measurement result x 2%) + 30 x resolution
- calculations: (30 x 2%) + 30 x 0.01 = 0.6 + 0.3 = 0.90 A
Actual result considering measurement error for indication of 30 A = 30 ± 0.90 A.
- result considering measurement error for indication of alternating voltage measurement: 235 V = 235 ± 4.175 V
- result considering measurement error for indication of direct voltage measurement: 12 V = 12 ± 0.09 V
A table with resolution and accuracy for each measurement can be found in the user manual.
Built-in functions:
- TRUE RMS - a meter with this function displays the true effective value of alternating voltage/current. Unlike averaging meters, true rms devices show the correct value not only for sinusoidal waveforms, but also for distorted sinusoidal waveforms, e.g. with higher harmonics, or square or triangular waveforms. A mandatory function wherever impulse power supplies, inverter drives for motors, HVAC installations, etc., are present in the circuit.
- NCV - non-contact detection of alternating voltage by inductive method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated wire, and can also indicate the phase wire
- AUTO - automatic range selection for measurement. In the case of measuring unknown values using a meter with manual range change using a dial, measurements should be performed successively from the largest range to the range that gives the most accurate result - otherwise, there is a risk of damaging the device. In contrast, with a multimeter with AUTO function, only one measurement needs to be taken and the meter will automatically find the optimal range. The meter defaults to AUTO mode
- DATA HOLD - maintains the currently measured value on the display
- PEAK HOLD - maintains the highest measured value on the display using measurement probes
- INRUSH current - measurement of starting current using measurement clamps. The meter will measure the current intensity within 100 ms of starting the device
Additional information:

- automatic shut-off of the meter after 15 minutes of inactivity
- possibility to disable the automatic shut-off mode of the device
- low battery indicator
- power supply: two 1.5 V batteries (AAA)

Attention!
Clamp meter current measurement is done only on a single wire. Clamping the clamps on a multi-core cable without isolating a single wire will show incorrect results or zero current flow.
