DIGITAL MULTIMETER TRUE RMS LCD 19999
Universal meter with TRUE RMS function and automatic range for each measurement. It enables basic and advanced measurements of electrical quantities to be made. The large multifunctional LCD display, a range of functions to facilitate measurements, speed of operation and industrial precision will be appreciated by electronic engineers, electricians and home do-it-yourselfers alike. The housing is retrofitted with a red rubber holster with dedicated probe slots to prevent the meter from slipping easily from your hands and to minimise the risk of damage during a fall. The probe cables have silicone insulation that is flexible and resistant to high temperatures.
Basic measurements:
- aC voltage measurement: A.C. 0-750V, TRUE RMS

MEASUREMENT ACCURACY
Example of accuracy determination for AC voltage measurement. Calculations for the measurement result: 235V
- the measurement accuracy of the YT-730893 meter for this range is : ±(0.3% + 3), resolution 0.1V
- calculation of measurement error formula: (measurement result x 0.3%) + 3 x resolution
- calculations: (235 x 0.3%) + 3 x 0.1 = 0.705 + 0.3 = 1.005V
Actual result including measurement error for a 235V indication = 235 ± 1.005V
- the result including the measurement error for the indication of the DC voltage measurement: 12V = 12 ± 0,009V
- the result including the measurement error for the indication of the AC current measurement: 8A = 8 ± 0,067A
A table with the resolution and accuracy for a given measurement can be found in the operating instructions.
BUILT-IN FUNCTIONS
- TRUE RMS - a meter with this function calculates the real rms value of AC voltage and current for both sinusoidal and non-sinusoidal waveforms. The device first measures the actual value of the sine wave over several time intervals → then squares the measurement results → adds them up → calculates the average → and finally roots the average result. The measurement result is the real rms value of the AC voltage/voltage even for a distorted sine wave or rectangular waveform
- NCV - non-contact AC voltage detection by inductive method. The meter detects the presence of voltage in an insulated conductor using the NCV sensor on the face of the device
- AUTO - automatic adjustment of the measuring range. When measuring unknown values using a meter with a manual range-changing dial, take measurements sequentially from the largest range up to the range giving the most accurate result - otherwise you risk damaging the instrument. With a multimeter with AUTO function, on the other hand, you only need to take one measurement and the meter will automatically find the optimum range. The meter starts by default in AUTO mode
- RANGE - manual change of the measurement range. A useful function when checking many of the same components with a known value, e.g. a series of resistors. Manual setting of the range will reduce the time of such measurements considerably
- REL - using the function during a measurement will reset the display to zero and take the value visible before the display as the reference level. The next measurement will show the difference between the measured value and the retained reference value
- MAX/MIN - retaining on the display the maximum or minimum value from the current measurement
- HZ % - when the knob is set to frequency measurement, the button will change the setting to fill factor/cycle measurement
- SELECT - change of measurement mode, e.g. from AC to DC voltage measurement
- DATA HOLD - keeping the currently measured value on the display
