TRAVEL ADAPTER UNIVERSAL USB, USB-C 65W
Travel adapter suitable for over 150 countries with built-in charger with three USB ports with fast charging technology. The built-in power supply with a total output of 65 watts will replace chargers for phones, tablets and even business laptops.
The lock prevents the pins from accidentally sliding into the housing. The adapter is protected against short-circuits by an easily accessible ceramic fuse. Housing made of durable flame-retardant plastic.
Adapter function:
- universal socket with child safety device
- four types of plugs
- maximum power at 230 V: 1840 W
- ceramic fuse: 8 A
- dimensions: 68 × 53 × 52 mm
- spare fuse included
Power supply function:
- maximal wattage: 65 W
- uSB-C socket with PD (power delivery) technology: 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 12V/3A, 20V/3.25A (max 65W)
- uSB-A socket with Q.C. technology. 3.0 (quick charge): 5V/4.5A, 9V/3A, 12V/2.5A, 20V/1.5A (max 30W)
Note
The adapter does not convert 230 V mains voltage to 110 V. Devices that are not suitable for AC 100-250 V may not function properly.
Rapid Charging Technology
Almost all modern mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets support fast charging technology. The most popular of these are PD and Q.C. In telegraphic terms, this technology allows batteries to be charged at a higher voltage.
A dedicated battery management chip communicates with the charger, is able to determine its capabilities and adapt to them. The higher voltage allows charging at a lower current while maintaining the same or higher power. For example, at 5 V and 3 A we get 15 W of power, at 9 V and 2 A this power will be at 18 W.
The difference in power at first glance is not great. However, it is important to be aware of the limitations on both the cable side and the battery itself. The higher the current, the harder it is for both the cable's thin strands, its plugs and also the battery management system. For example, although the charger can deliver 3 A of current at 5 V, the cable and battery management system on the phone will usually handle no more than 2 A, which ultimately translates into a power output of 10 W. However, if you increase the voltage, e.g. to 9 V, you will already have 18 W at the same charging current, i.e. the device will be charged almost twice as fast.
Modern smartphones increasingly come without chargers. The Yato universal travel adapter is not only an indispensable product for overseas travel, but also a high-quality fast charger with multiple test-confirmed parameters, with which we can safely charge both our smartphones and tablets.
